There can be few cities as varied and versatile as Edinburgh, with its breathtaking array of architecture dating from the medieval to the contemporary.

Recent period productions include the Hollywood feature ‘Man to Man’, starring Kristen Scott Thomas and Joseph Fiennes, and the BBC’s ‘North & South’. They have made excellent use of our impressive stretches of Georgian and Victorian streets, both in Edinburgh and in the Scottish Borders.

In contrast ‘Shoebox Zoo’ - a delightful new children’s drama and part animation series - revelled in our dramatic cityscape, rolling countryside and magical castles.

But don't forget such city inspired classics as ‘Trainspotting’, ‘Shallow Grave’ and the more recent ‘16 Years Of Alcohol’. For all its history, this city also provides superb settings for modern drama at the cutting edge.
