Edinburgh Room holds a large collection of images of Edinburgh (24,500 prints, photographs, sketches and watercolours) including photographs from 1840's to present day. RCAHMS is the principal source of collections for Scotland's archaeology, buildings and maritime heritage. There are over 15 million items in the collections comprising photographs, drawings, manuscripts, aerial photographs and other visual and documentary material. In addition, the National Collection of Aerial Photography contains over 1.6 million aerial photographs covering the whole of Scotland, dating from the 1940s to the present day, as well as millions of international wartime photographs in The Aerial Reconnaissance Archives (TARA). View over 130,000 digital images on the RCAHMS web. |
